Our Strict Breeding Process
At R&KBULLIES, we take our breeding standards very seriously. We have very strict contracts in place to protect our pups at all costs. This includes ensuring that all puppies are placed in pet homes, where spaying and neutering is done at the appropriate age. We only want the best for our dogs and our clients, and we are dedicated to upholding the highest standards in the breeding process.
BREEDING INFORMATION
"Here at RK Bullies, we uphold a strict 3 litter policy, ensuring the well-being of our dogs at every step. Before any breeding takes place, our dogs undergo thorough examination by our trusted veterinarian. Our priority is the health and fitness of our mama dogs, who are kept in great shape to ensure a smooth breeding process.
Following our veterinarian's recommendations, we conduct two back-to-back breedings, followed by a heat skip to allow for recovery. Only after this cycle do we consider a third breeding, and even then, it's subject to our careful assessment of the female's condition and suitability. Any dog that doesn't meet our rigorous breeding standards is promptly spayed, emphasizing our commitment to quality over quantity.
At RK Bullies, we recognize that not every dog, including males, will meet our breeding criteria, and that's perfectly fine. We maintain high standards to ensure that each litter represents the pinnacle of quality. For us, breeding isn't just about producing offspring—it's about nurturing excellence in every aspect of our breeding program."
Health Screenings and Vaccinations
Our puppies undergo thorough health screenings, including embark tests for health checks. Additionally, once our dogs reach 24 months old, they undergo OFA health testing to ensure they meet our stringent health standards.
We offer comprehensive aftercare support for all new puppy owners. This includes training tips, medical advice, potty training advice and feeding advice etc. We are committed to staying in contact with our clients to watch our productions grow and to provide ongoing support for any questions or concerns you may have.
​PET HOME
This is our most sought after ownership method and 80% of our puppies leave under this contract. Puppy must be spay/neutered between 24-36 months of age, puppy will NEVER be bred under any circumstances. Our pet home puppies do not have serious flaws - we just believe that only the top 20% of each litter should have the chance to move forward in a breeding program, while the rest deserve to live their days out being loved unconditionally regardless of their breeding eligibility.
BREEDING RIGHTS
The breeder, RK Bullies, reserves the right to select the first pick male and first pick female, as deemed appropriate. Furthermore, breeders residing in Manitoba are not eligible to acquire a breeding pup from us. Breeding rights grant you permission to utilize your stud or bitch for breeding purposes, with the understanding that careful consideration of pairing is paramount. We offer our assistance in this regard. Additionally, it is mandatory that the selected dogs are registered with either the American Bully Kennel Club (ABKC) or the United Kennel Club (UKC). Prior to breeding, it is imperative to conduct an Embark test on your stud or bitch. Moreover, a waiting period of a minimum of 11 months for a stud and until the 3rd heat for a bitch is required. We are available to provide guidance throughout this process, subject to our approval of your ownership of our breeding pairs.
PAYMENTS & DEPOSITS
Upon approval to own one of our productions, a deposit ranging from $500.00 to $1000.00, depending on the pick of the litter, is required immediately upon receipt of the contract from RK Bullies to reserve your pup. Once it's time for your pup to go home with you the remaining balance is due upon delivery or pick up. Sometimes we will do payment plans with Eligible clients, this consists of being approved by us and signing documents ( ie ) invoices , contracts etc. deposits are mandatory , but payments afterwards can consist of what the client can pay bi-weekly. We do allow our pups to go to their new homes on payment plans but we do not approve everyone just the people we do see fit who meet all requirements.
Please note that deposits are non-refundable in the event of a change of mind. However, if you determine that the current litter does not meet your preferences and you opt to wait for another, your deposit will be transferred to the next litter of your choice. It is important to understand that deposits are not subject to refund, as your selected puppy becomes unavailable for other potential owners upon reservation.
